Leeds Parish Church was rebuilt in the 1840s on a scale most cathedrals would envy, and in 2012 it was formally renamed Leeds Minster to reflect just how much it punches above its parish weight. Inside is a fragment of a 9th-century Anglo-Saxon cross that predates the current building by nearly a thousand years.
