The rules for using the ROVE app and website, including how business subscriptions work.
Last updated: 9 October 2026. By creating an account, using the ROVE app, or subscribing as a business, you agree to these Terms.
ROVE ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile app and website that helps people discover things to do — "quests" — in their city, and helps local businesses reach people nearby. Consumers use ROVE free of charge. People can upgrade to Rove+, and businesses can choose a paid plan or one-off boosts.
You need an account to save progress, complete quests, and (for businesses) manage a listing. We create a lightweight anonymous account automatically when you first open the app; you can add an email, display name, or other profile details at any time. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it.
Quests are suggestions for things to do — we don't own, operate, or guarantee the venues, events, or experiences a quest points you to. Use your own judgement about safety, opening hours, and suitability, especially for anything outdoors or off the beaten path.
Don't use ROVE to harass others, post false or misleading content, misrepresent completion of a quest, attempt to redeem an offer you're not entitled to, or interfere with the app's normal operation. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
When you upload a photo, write a caption, or make part of your profile public, you're granting ROVE a licence to display that content within the app (e.g. on your public profile, or in another user's feed if you're followed) for as long as your account exists or until you delete it. You keep ownership of what you post, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
ROVE is free to use. You can choose to pay for Rove+ (for people) or a Partner or Pro plan (for businesses), and businesses can buy one-off boosts. Prices are shown before you pay.
Some quests and website features link out to third-party booking partners (for example GetYourGuide or LoveToVisit). ROVE may earn a commission when you book through these links, at no extra cost to you. We aren't responsible for the content, availability, or booking terms of third-party sites — you're bound by their own terms once you leave ROVE.
The ROVE name, logo, app, and website are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these Terms gives you rights to our branding or code beyond what's needed to use the app normally.
ROVE is provided "as is." We try to keep quest information accurate, but venues change, close, or update their offerings without telling us — we don't guarantee that any quest or listing is current. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or for the acts of third-party venues, businesses, or booking partners.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Ending a business subscription doesn't automatically delete the business account or its data — cancel via your device's subscription settings first, then delete the account separately if you'd like.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll let you know in the app or by other reasonable means before it takes effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
